We'll get practice in the universities. The POET AG, with lectures on the subject of eBusiness is guest at the Karlsruhe University of Technology and Economics. We offer students the possibility to write their thesis at POET or to get experience as working student.

VKSI - Verein Karlsruhe Software-Ingenieure

The association software engineers of Karlsruhe is the platform for software technology, know-how and the people behind it.
To merge and to spread the knowledge and experience in software engineering is the goal of VKSI.
The POET AG is an active member and one of the competence center in the technology region of Karlsruhe.

Trade associations

The CyberForum with 750 members is one of the largest and most successful regional high-tech entrepreneurial networks in Germany. The POET AG has a close and active relationship with the cyber-forum and the technology region. Collective action and networking.

German Oracle Users Group eV represents the interests of users of Oracle products. The objectives are to promote exchange of information on use, handling and experience with products from Oracle and the representation of technical, communicative and economic interests of the Oracle community. POET is a member of DOAG and has constant access to the latest practical know-how, publications, and is part of the largest and most influential German Oracle community.

eCl@ss is a classification standard representing one of the most important bases for electronic business processes in eBusiness applications and merchandise planning and control systems. eCl@ss provides a comprehensive view of the procurement market for buyers and supports engineers in development, design and maintenance.
eCl@ss is represented by POET as office in Alexandria (Egypt).

EHI is a research, training and consultancy institute for the retail industry and its partners. The international EHI-Retail-Network covers around 500 Member-Companies. EHI was founded in 1951. Managing Directors are Michael Gerling and Prof. Prof. E.h. (RUS) Dr. Bernd Hallier. EHI is a 50%-shareholder in GS1 Germany. They coordinate the European EAN in Germany. In cooperation with EHI the Messe Düsseldorf organises EuroShop, the world's largest trade fair for capital goods for the retail industry, and EuroCIS, showing the latest products, solutions and trends in IT and security.

Cloud Services

More legal certainty in the selection of cloud-based services and on-demand software solutions enables "Initiative Cloud Services". The market for cloud services is growing rapidly and the selection of a safe and legally acceptable on-demand software solution is more difficult for the companies. POET supports this initiative and is an active member of the Cloud.

Gründerlust.de

An important source for innovation are start-ups. POET therefore supports the initiative of Gründerlust, a group of entrepreneurs from Baden-Wuerttemberg, who want to increase the innovative power of the country with positive examples and encourage aspiring entrepreneurs to start up their own.

Nerd-Zone

The IT-Zone of Karlsruhe and its surroundings is one of the biggest in Germany. Accordingl high is the need of professionals. To fill this gap of supply and demand, the POET AG gets involved in the Project “Nerdzone”. The designated target is to get the so called “Nerds”, the brilliant minds of the IT area, interested in the location Karlsruhe and the established companies - to gain new specialists for the area.

Social issues

POET supports the social institution Karlsruher Kindertisch e.V..
Actually, the daily hot lunch should be a matter of course. Nevertheless there are children who are not able to afford lunch even in a city like Karlsruhe. The Karlsruher Kindertisch therefore gave food vouchers to those children, they can redeem them at local restaurants or directly at the school.

Montessori-Förderkreis Karlsruhe e.V.

Galerie Knecht @ POET

In cooperation with Galerie Alfred Knecht we offer artists opportunities to exhibit their works in our premises. The permanent exhibition shows works by artists who have maked their grade at the Karlsruhe Academy of Fine Arts, or had teacher who were studying in Karlsruhe.
