Events - POET on Tour
| POET is very content with the results of the preceding year. We made some radical changes, picked up new scopes for growth and yielded a positive financial performance. For POET the year 2011 will be characterized by collaboration. This does not only encompass POET's cooperation with its customers and partners, but cross-client cooperation in particular – between suppliers and their clients – for a substantial improvement in the time-to-commerce. We will keep picking up the topics „collaboration“ and „connectivity“ time after time. Today we would like to address the topic „interactions between suppliers and clients during the procurement of services“. The survey „Usage and Quality of Product Data in E-commerce“ that we initiated yielded interesting results. The survey run by EHI and encompassing major shop operators showed for instance that more than two thirds of the corporations update their online shop products at least once a day. We are happy to inform you that all our employees in Egypt are doing fine. After a few tumultuous days they are again „at the works“. Our clients will be pleased to hear that we do not expect any delays delivering services in the weeks to come. We wish our colleagues that their country will soon return to a stable political situation and continue to progress according to the people's volition. I hope you will enjoy reading our newsletter. Yours sincerely, Jakob Karszt Chairman of the Board | ||||||||||||
EHI and POET Release E-commerce SurveyQuality and usage of product data in e-commerce continue to be hot topics in the market. The survey of EHI Retail Institute and POET supplies background information on todays usage of product data in e-commerce and the trends for the years ahead. The corporations with the highest turnover in e-commerce made up the basis of the survey. According to the interviewed participants of the survey the processes in e-commerce will keep accelerating, in total compliance with time-to-commerce. Already nowadays 16% of all shop operators update their shops several times per day. In this context it is worth noting, however, that only 10% of the surveyed corporations receive their product information online on an automated basis. ![]() Please, ask for a complete copy of the survey (German) via Download | |||||||||||||
